Main Entrance of Phnom Daun Penh

This is the eastern main stair case leading to the temple (the shrine) with seven headed Naga balustrade. At the middle of the stair case there are two human guardian called Dvarapala, hands holding a mace. Next, there are two more lion guardians. At the end of the stair, we would see a wall with sculpture about the war events between Khmer and Champa. This scene was adapted from the sculpture at Bayon Temple. Continue reading →
