Then, Bhima looked to Yudhisthira with anger when he saw his wife remained thin cloth over her body in front of the crowd. Suddenly, Duhsasana stood up and walked toward Draupati in order to take the last piece of her cloth. Draupati tried to hold her cloth and reminded to Krishna for help. Atfer discussed for a while, Dhritarashtra commanded his son to let Draupati free and promised to give her what she wants. Replied to Dhritarashtra, Draupati asked him to release all her husbands and her sons could not be called as slaves. Dhritarashtra agreed and continued to command Duryodhana to do what Draupati wanted. From the commanded of his father, Duryodhana agreed to release them with a condition to exile them to the forest for 13 years. Pandavas group made a promised with themselves to revenge after the exile ended. Bhima promised to himself to kill Duryodhana and step on his head, and kill Duhsasana for taking his blood to drink in order to release his anger that Duhsasana was looking down his wife. Arjuna promised to kill Karna while Sahasdeva and Nakula promised to kill Sakuni. Pandavas’ promises spread out to everywhere. Pandavas including their wife, and their mother, were exiled to the forest. Dhritarashtra and his family were living with worry.
Pandavas traveled to many kingdoms in order to make relationship, before they went to Krishna’s kingdom. At there they prepared a plan to revenge Duryodhana. Vyasa suggested Arjuna find great weapons from great divinities such as Shiva, Brahma, Kubera (god of property) and other angels on Mohendra mountain.
So Arjuna took a journey to the northern crossed Hemapean forest. At Indrakot in Hemapean forest, he met a Brahman and the Brahman tested Arjuna’s thought and then he transformed himself to be Indra and claimed himself as Arjuna’s father. He promised to give Arjuna weapons, but needed to seek for Shiva first, to get the great magical weapons. Arjuna continued his journey to deeper forest, until he arrived a dirty place, then he decided to do a strict ascetic practice in order to meet Shiva. After practiced strictly ascetic struggling for along time, the earth started quake, which caused many angels worried. So they begged Shiva to help, so that the earth quake would stop too. Replied to many angels, Shiva said he knew and understood what’s Arjuna purpose. One day Arjuna woke up from meditating caused by a wild boar ran in front of him. He immediately drew a bow toward that wild boar, and the wild boar wounded at the back. At that time, there was someone shouted that the wild boar was belong to him. But Arjuna claimed that it was his by showing his arrow on the boar’s body. After picked up the arrow, Arjuna looked forward to the hunter and saw many ladies wore flowers band for him to showed that the wild boar was defeated by him not Arjuna. This caused Arjuna very angry and asked the hunter why did he took his boar? The hunter smiled and replied to Arjuna that the arrow which on the boar’s body was belong to him not Arjuna. He continued that: ” Why were you meditating here? The forest you are in and people who are living here are mine.” The hunter went on his words that the boar was not the simple wild animal but it was a giant who transformed to a boar on purpose to kill Arjuna. If he didn’t kill the boar, maybe Arjuna was died because of the boar.
After listened, Arjuna was very wonder and angry. He took Kunthira bow drew toward to the hunter. After the arrow arrived the hunter, the arrow disappeared and had no effect to the hunter. Saw that Arjuna kept quiet and caught land to make a Shiva linga, then closed his eyes reminded to Shiva and putting flowers on the linga. Arjuna asked the hunter to forgive him about his fault and saluted to the hunter. Immediately, the hunter transformed to Lord Shiva and gave him a weapon call Pasobot. After Shiva disappeared, three more Gods appeared, Varuna (God of rain), Kubera (God of property) and Yama (a God of Judgement) gave their weapons to Arjuna. Finally, Indra sent a charioteer, Mulati, to take back his son to his palace, Amaravatey, in the heaven. Indra found many angel professors to train his son with musical, art and magic weapons using skill. One day, a female angel named Urarase tried to asked Arjuna for love, but she was refused. So she was very angry and curse Arjuna to be Bondok human being (Sanskrit word means half boy half girl). Arjuna was so shocked and told the curse to Indra but this divinity just smiled and raised his eyebrows. Indra told Arjuna that he was the first person who could be patient with Urarase’s beauty appearance. Her curse would be useful for Arjuna’s ten years exile and it was a sample for Brahman and hermit. He added that the curse would take effect for only one year. After five years with his father, Arjuna saluted and left Indra to continue his journey back to Tvaraka.
At Matasya empire, Pandavas hid from Duryodhana and conducted a plan to revenge. There Arjuna was a professor to teach musical and dances to the queen and princess. Nakula and Sahasdeva lived as charioteers and worked in the cattle. Bhima lived as a Matasya royal chef and Draupati lived as a wandering servant in the queen’s palace. Yudhisthira and Thomaya decided to go to Pachala. One day, Kicaka, brother of Sotesana queen, was killed by Bhima because he intended to touch Draupati. Duryodhana completely lose track of the Pandavas, ordered his officers seek for them everywhere. The death of Matasya commander, Kicaka, caused Duryodhana want to take this empire to be under his control. Because King of Matasya, Virata, used to be his enemy. After decided, Duryodhana ordered Trekortha leading forces to fight over Matasya empire. After knowing the idea of Duryodhana, Virata conducted army theory to fight back. Pandavas discussed with one another and decided to help Virata in the war. Only Arjuna couldn’t join the battle, since he was still in the curse as a Bonduk.
While Virata and Pandavas were fighting with Trekortha, Duryodhana took a good chance to fight over Virata’s animal farms and arrested Virata’s commanders. More than 60,000 people were set as prisoners of war. In the chaotic situation Arjuna tried to ride horse into the farm and release Phumincheya commander, who was a son of King Virata, then both of them went toward to the cremation building, which located nearby the farm. Arjuna asked Phumincheya to climb on the sala tree to take his weapon which he had hidden there. After got his weapon, Arjuna has got more strength and Urarase’s curse was ended. Arjuna declared that he would save Matasya empire. He went out to the battle alone, while Kauravas had many troops under command from skilled commanders such as Bhishma, Drona, Duryodhana and Karna. Karna could only defeated Arjuna’s horse but Arjuna replied back with the first arrow to his chest and thigh. The injury caused many blood and Karna had to leave the battle in order to heal his wounds. The second arrow of Arjuna was toward Duryodhana, caused him seriously injured and the army started to separated while they saw their commanders are defeated.
Arjuna turned to saluted his teacher, Drona, and this caused Drona forcing himself to leave the battle field. After the leaving of Drona and to end the war, Arjuna drew a bow of Indra, Sanomakhana, toward Kauravas troops and the all of them became unconscious. Arjuna asked Phumincheya to take off the outer wears of Kauravas. Only Bhishma still awake because could catch the Sanomakhana weapon. Duryodhana woke up first, saw Arjuna was standing on his cart but Bhishma was sitting silently. By anger, Duryodhana commanded his grand father to killed Arjuna. But Bhishma refused and said that Arjuna could kill all Kauravas armies and commanders while they were unconscious, but Arjuna didn’t. Then Bhishma led the armies back to Hastinapura. Arjuna saluted his grandfather, then saluted his teachers, Drona and Kreba and then he announced his success. After win the war, Virata announced his promise that he would help Pandavas whenever they needed his help.
