Tonle Bati – Tourist Site in Takeo Province

Tonle Bati is a historical and cultural tourism site in Takeo province which located in Thnal Teaksin village, Krang Thnoung commune, Bati district. Travel from Phnom Penh along the Nation road number 2 for about 35km, we will arrive an entrance gate at the right side with big signage writting ‘Tonle Bati Tourism Site’. Turn right and follow a street with green rice field at both sides, just about 2km we will arrive Tonle Bati. Tonle Bati tourism site is very popular for local people as their weekend getaway, because of the good natural air of the Tonle Bati, in which people can sit and spend their relaxing time on the floating houses, swimming, or take boat touring. Kandal Province – Cambodia
Kandal means ‘central’, but the province is not located in the central of Cambodia. Instead the capital city of Phnom Penh is staying in the center of Kandal province. Traveling out from Phnom Penh to any provinces, all must pass through Kandal province. In other word, after the Phnom Penh outskirts is Kandal province. Ta Khmao town is the provincial of Kandal province, located in the Southen reaches of Phnom Penh, about 30 minutes drive from Phnom Penh center. It’s an old town which there are many Chinese-Cambodian families living here since long time ago.

Kampong Thom province located at 168km from Phnom Penh and only 146km more to arrive Siem Reap.We can arrive the provincial town by taking bus or taxi on the No.6 nation road. Located in the central of Cambodia, it’s one of the five major rural provinces laying at the lower part of the Tonle Sap Lake. With 15,060 square kilometers area, the southwest area is the lowland rice fields and the northeast area is the upland mosaic and forest.

Ti Krong Teuk – Kampong Thom
Traveling out from Phnom Penh along the Nation road No.6 for about 126 km, turn left and follow a trail for about 2.5km, there we will see a huge tourist resort at the right side, and it’s Ti Krong Teuk. Ti Krong Teuk located in Dong village, Balang sub-district, Baray district, Kampong Thom province. It’s a new built and the biggest resort in Kampong Thom, on an area of 110 hectares surrounded by compound wall. At the location of Ti Krong Teuk there is a lake called Boeng Samrith, and Ti Krong Teuk is built around this lake.

Chaktomuk Theater
Chaktomuk Theater located in the junction of the four rivers, Upper Mekong, Lower Mekong, Tonlesap River, and Basac River. That’s why, the place get the name Chaktomuk Theater, which Chaktomuk means “Four Faces”. This theater was built in 1962 formerly to serve national Buddhism conference.

Shan Tai Zi Temple in Ta Khmao Town
Cambodia’s population is mixed of Khmer, Chinese, and Vietnamese. So there are also many Chinese and Vietnamese temples were built for these ethnic group, especially within Phnom Penh. Ta Khmao town is the provincial town of Kandal Province, which is very near to Phnom Penh city. There are many Chinese and Vietnamese families living in Ta Khmao town. There is a shrine of Chinese was located since long time ago. The local people called Lok Ta Ta Khmao, people always praying Lok Ta for health and prosperous. In my last time visited the Silver Pagoda, Royal Palace, beside the breathtaking views of the Silver Pagoda, I was impressed with some visitors’ photographing style. It seems the scenery there are so interested for them, and they might feel so fantastic of taking photos. In the modern lifestyle, each visitors would have a camera in hand, so that they can take any photo of their own style.
